Travel back in time with me today for two-and-a-half minutes.
Just below this text, you can see vintage pictures and video from this Nashville television station 30+ years ago.
This was posted on YouTube by my pal Alan Nelson... who spent many years here at Channel 4, back when we were still WSM-TV.
For those of you who watched Channel 4 in the 1970s, you'll see some familiar faces... glimpses of Carol Marin, Aaron Mermelstein, Paul Eells and Virg Jacques.
You'll see weatherman George Goldtrap tossing the chalk into his pocket, and Keith Bilbrey doing weather with an ink marker.
There'll be brief snippets of Ralph Emery and his old morning show gang.
You'll spot Teddy Bart... Lonnie Lardner... Bill Hall... Charlie Mac... Boyce Hawkins... even Sir Cecil Creape.
There'll be a lot of faces you probably won't recognize at all...
but, believe me, most of these people have a special place in my memory.
Some of you may notice that I was slightly skinnier than I am now...
if, in fact, you recognize me at all.
But bear in mind, I was only 12 years old at the time.
Anyhow, have fun traveling back in time, and the next time you see Alan Nelson, tell him thanks.
